Darren & Emily Reynolds opened Caffè Mela in the summer of 2006 in the charming heart of orchard country in Wenatchee, Washington. The friendly and inviting ambience coupled with artfully prepared espresso beverages quickly made the café a favorite gathering place for the community.
Since opening, Caffè Mela has always strived to push the limits of coffee excellence, and in March of 2008 we began serving our very own fresh-roasted coffee. It is our mission to source the best coffees available, roast with care and attention, and offer the fruits of our labor to our community. We know that our pursuit of outstanding coffee is only possible because of the dedication, patience, and years of hard work of the farmers who nurture their precious crop and prepare it for those of us further down the chain of consumption. For this reason we consider it our utmost responsibility to prepare each and every batch of roasted coffee and hand crafted beverage with the same level of care and commitment as those individuals at coffee's origin.
In 2010 a second location,
Caffè Mela East, was launched featuring a cozy sit-down coffee spot with convenient drive-thru access just across the Columbia River in East Wenatchee. To celebrate 5 years in business in June of 2011 the flagship store in downtown was completely remodeled and reborn as a cutting-edge espresso bar and night spot with featuring the most advanced coffee set-up around and now features Wenatchee's only
artisan hard cider bar, award-winning local wines, and an exciting
dinner service.
